Latics Linked With Move For Troy Deeney

Latics Linked With Move For Troy Deeney

Wigan Athletic are reportedly lining up a summer move for Walsall striker Troy Deeney who has been in sensational form since the appointment of former Latics boss Chris Hutchings as manager of the Saddlers.

The 20 year old striker has scored 9 goals in his last 14 appearances for Walsall since Hutchings has moved him from the right wing into a more central forward position.

Deeney will be entering his last year of his current contract this summer and Walsall may sell now rather than risk losing him next year though they would still be able to get something because he is under 23.

Troy Deeney is fast skilful and he has an eye for goal, Championship club Norwich are also reportedly keeping a watch on his progress
