Wigan Athletic to Announce New Shirt Sponsors

Wigan Athletic are set to announce a new shirt sponsorship deal with a Norwegian company at a press conference to be held at the JJB Stadium on Monday at 1 pm with the name a closely guarded secret.

The shirt sponsorship deal is believed to be worth £800,000 to the club and will last initially for the season 2009/10 with a clause to extend beyond if both parties are happy.

The press conference will also see the re-naming of the stadium from the JJB to the DW Stadium and this will take place with immediate effect.

Finally it is also expected that the club will announce Vandenel has the kit manufacturers for next season, in case you are wondering who they supply Doncaster Rovers and Yeovil Town amongst others.

Monday 23rd March 2009 appears to be a day of big announcements!
