What the Bosses Said - Latics Vs Hull

Following the game at the JJB today between Wigan Athletic and Hull City both managers had an opinion of the outcome and the way the game unfolded, lets see what they said:

Latics boss Steve Bruce:

'The first half was one-way traffic to say the least.

'We had umpteen chances which we didn't take and that causes you a concern as we have been at that stage many times and you fear you won't get many more.

'But they stuck at it and got their reward because, for me, the better team won. Ben Watson scored his second goal in as many games and at 1.5m he looks a snip.'

Hull boss Phil Brown:

'You can say it is cruel but our inexperience is something we have to learn from.

'There was a point, or three, to be had. First half we were disappointing in terms of the way we played.

'Second half, slowly but surely, we were coming into it. I'm disappointed with the manner in which we lost it.'
