Figueroa to Manchester United at End of Season

Wigan Athletic and Honduras left back Maynor Figueroa could be set for a shock move down the East Lancashire Road to Manchester United at the end of the season according to reports in the Sun.

Figueroa has been an absolute revelation this season and his displays must have caught the eye of not only Manchester United but a host of other clubs and with the Latics paying out just 1 million to Deportivo Olimpia for the 23 year old they would be set to make a tidy profit

With Figueroa`s international team mate Wilson Palacios having left in January to Spurs for 14 million and Antonio Valencia set for a mega bucks move this summer its no wonder that current Latics chairman and owner Dave Whelan says he is prepared to wipe out the clubs so called 15 million debt

Figueroa would command a fee in excess of 8 million this with the Palacios and Valencia fees could see over 40 million coming into the club in less than six months, not as daft as he looks is Mr Whelan

This rumor in the Sun is probably the worst one they have come up with. Yeah I'm sure Man Utd are looking for a left back when they have Evra and Fabio nipping at his heels. Gawd the stuff they come up with is just stupid.
