Wigan linked with Klasnic

Klasnic who currently plies his trade in France for Nantes where he has scored 3 goals in 18 appearences is being linked with a move to Wigan.

This isn't the first time Wigan have been linked with Ivan. Last summer before his switch from Werder Bremen , Latics seemed to be in the box seat for his signiture but concerns over his health, following a kidney transplant was rumoured to be the reason why the deal didn't come to fruition.

Klasnic has stated that he is unware of Wigan's interest but Nantes are rumoured to be looking for 5 million for the Croatian international.

what is new is Nantes apparently looking to sell him on even though he has three years left on his contract. 3 goals in 18 games is hardly an impressive strike rate though

He failed a medical. He has many internal injury problems with his kidneys and blood. Wasn't our medical staff unsure if he could physically handle the PL? Too me this just seems like old news recycled.

don't thinkl he had a medical but you are correct avant that they were concerned over his ability to handle the cold weather although Nantes is hardly a tropical climate
