Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce looks like he is ready to end the love affair between the Latics and leading goal scorer, Egypt international Amr Zaki.
Zaki`s failure to return to the club following last weeks World Cup qualifying matches and coupled with a very public spat with Latics team-mate Mido appears to have left Bruce fuming and now there must be a massive question mark hanging over his future at Wigan.
Bruce`s comments posted on the Latics official website leave nothing to the imagination and it appears that the end is in sight for Zaki as far as his Latics career is concerned with Bruce slating his former star players actions as disrespectful, Bruce said:
'I'm sick of answering questions about Zaki's whereabouts and I don't want anything to distract the players from preparing for another massive game for us on Sunday against Everton.
'Zaki's behaviour has shown total disrespect to the club who pays him a very good wage and equally as importantly, to the fans who sing his name from the stands. I think it's time for them to know the truth about the man.
'This situation needs to be resolved as soon as possible and I don't feel it's appropriate to say anything more at this stage, apart from how let down I feel, personally and professionally.'
Wow, this isn`t going to go away
