Wolves Want Boyce
Wigan Athletic face the possibility of losing defender Emerson Boyce this summer if they don`t get a new deal sorted for him.
It is understood that Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has identified Boyce has the man to shepherd his defence for next seasons Premier League assault. McCarthy is a big fan of the versatile defender who is as comfortable at full back as he is at centre half and Boyce`s performances this season have been superb.
The former Crystal Palace player is set to enter the last year of his contract and that is a concern for Latics boss Steve Bruce who is desperately trying to sort out a deal to tempt Boyce to sign on for another three years.
Bruce has previously said it is crazy to let players run their contracts down and the club nearly came unstuck with Emile Heskey who they managed to sell to Aston Villa in January when it became clear he wasn`t going to re-sign, so with that in mind if an agreement with Boyce cant be reached the club just may cash in which would suit Mick McCarthy
