Ben Watson Glad to be Back

Wigan Athletic midfield man Ben Watson is loving every minute of his return to the Premier League and he has his eyes set on Europa League qualification

Watson was just a teenager the last time he played top flight football and that was with Crystal Palace who struggled all season and ended up getting relegated, a tough introduction to the realities of life at the top for the young Watson.

Second time round though and he is finding life a little easier, he says he is in a much better side with different targets, like Europe, Watson told the Wigan Evening Post:

'To be back in the Premier League really is great for me, if anything, it's a bit easier second time around.

'I'm a bit older, more experienced as a player, and no disrespect to Palace, but I'm in a better team.

'At Palace we struggled that season in the Premier League and it was a case of keeping our heads above water.

'But here, there's a genuine chance of chasing a European spot so the circumstances are totally different.'

Watson has been a bit of a revelation since he joined the Latics, keep going Ben that Euro spot is still available
