Anthony Annan First Summer Signing For the Latics

Wigan Athletic are about to sign Ghana international Anthony Annan according to the player himself.

Annan, 22, currently plays in Norway with Rosenborg and he is also a key figure in the Ghana midfield alongside Chelsea player Micheal Essien, Annan is adamant that he is about to sign for the Latics and he told reporters: 'This is something fresh that has come up and I am quite confident it will end well.

"They have shown a keen interest so I hope finally my desire to play in England will come true next season. Wigan is not so big but to me it is all about starting well from one of these clubs where you can enjoy a lot of play time to prepare you well when the top clubs come calling'

'There has been interest from some other clubs across Europe but I think I will go ahead with the Wigan offer because if God willing it works out, it will improve my game considerably. They have played well this season and have ambitious plans for the next season which I want to be part of'

League Title obvs. I like how all of a sudden we have basically signed two players out of the blue. I hate when it drags out forever.

Props to the backroom staff who seem to be lining up deals pretty well (Zaki apart but that was a bit out of their control probably)
