Wigan manager Steve Bruce have made it clear that he has no plans to spend his well earned summer holiday on the phone for hours on end.
With Wigan Athletic sitting comfortably in the top half of the Premiership table, the club and their fans will be enjoying the fascinating motions at the bottom, grateful that they are clear of slipping into the mire.
Despite the current content at the JJB, and hopeful glances to potential Europa league action next season, Bruce is hoping that he can keep the revolving door that is Wigan`s Premier League transfers well and truly shut.
With stars like Wilson Palacios and Emile Heskey prompting swift replacement signings in the winter and a new look team, the Wigan manager hopes that his side will not need to adjust quite so dramatically when the 2009/2010 season gets under way.
'I hope there is no need for a big turnaround but you can never tell."
With two of the key Wigan front men only on loan deals, Bruce is already thinking ahead.
The coach is considering the options surrounding his Egyptian stars, with top scorer, Zaki having issues with international duty and some disappointing form.
On a more positive note, Mido has built on his fitness in an attempt to end his Riverside misery, and has succeeded in winning over many of the watching Latics fans.
'We have big decisions to make with the people we have on loan - Mido and Amr Zaki - and obviously there are players we want to bring in. "
Steve Bruce may be fearing the departure of key men in what is a common concern for Wigan Athletic, but he is thankful that he is not facing the frantic January transfer window this time round, with a long break from action presenting the manager with more team to adjust his squad.
'It's easier to do business in the summer, I like to do mine quite early, although things can change when players report back for pre-season training.
'Sometimes you get a player who falls out with his club which creates an opportunity, or someone comes back out of condition and that creates a ripple. But I'd like to think I can get things done early.
'We do our homework well on players and try to make sure we bring in signings of the required standard to make us stronger."
