Guerron Set to Replace Valencia at the Latics

Wigan Athletic are set to bring in Getafe and Ecuador winger Joffre Guerron in a bid to replace Antonio Valencia, who is heavily tipped with a move to Manchester United this summer according to the People.

Guerron is a 24 year old attacking midfield/wing man in a similar mould to Valencia and goes by the nickname dinamita (dynamite) because of his explosive pace, he moved to La Liga club Getafe for 4 million Euros in 2008 and he has made 11 appearances scoring once.

Joffre Guerron has also represented Ecuador 11 times knocking in 2 goals for his country

Here is a youtube compilation of Guerron

He looks OK from what's been said and he's also made the national team and scored a couple of goals. You just never know. A poor player can turn into a good player and Steve Bruce is good at turning players whose careers are in jeopardy back on track. Just look at Titus Bramble et al. I rest my case.

Sw him play for Ecuador in Valencia's position while LAV was a central player. Very very pacy and powerful, not as much finess maybe as Antonio but a bit more momentum and aggression it seemed.
