Thomas Thanks Palacios For Latics Chance

Honduras international midfield man Hendry Thomas is set to join Wigan Athletic and he gives thanks to compatriot Wilson Palacios who he believes has made it all possible.

Thomas was due to join the Latics last summer but was refused a work permit because he hadn`t played in enough international matches to qualify for one and is waiting clearance once again, though at the moment he is celebrating clinching the Honduras league title with his club Derportivo Olimpia.

Speaking about joining the Latics Thomas says that it is down to Palacios that the Latics door is open to him and other Hondurans, Maynor Figueroa is proof of that, Thomas told Latin news source La Prensa:

"Wigan`s doors will always be open, which is also thanks to Wilson [Palacios], who has opened it to Honduran players so they can prove themselves in the English league."

Nice one Hendry, look forward to seeing you in a Latics shirt
