Joshua Kennedy Anyone?

Wigan Athletic along with Blackburn and Bolton are reported to have been checking out Australia international forward Josh Kennedy who has been playing in Germany with Karlsruhe, who have just been relegated from the Bundesliga.

The 26 year old has been playing in Germany since 2000 when he signed for Wolfsburg, he has had 5 clubs in Germany including Dynamo Dresden and Nuremberg whom he left to join Karlshruhe in January 2008

Hardly a prolific striker at club level with just 35 goals in 163 he does have a better strike rate at international level with 6 goals in 12 appearances for the Australia national team scoring against Qatar(twice), Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein as well as the Netherlands and South Africa.

Probably one not to get too excited over

Sasman will be gutted if he doesnt rock up at Ewood!!!

i think hes not too bad (but im an aussie so im slightly biased) hes a typical target man that doesnt score much but holds up play well and i think would do ok... he is prolific at international level i agree... so he can finish
d_manga_fanatic
Video with his international goals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_zuF2x-lGg . He is Peter Crouch but good. 1 in 3 strike rate at club level, 1 in 2 at Australia level..including goals against a full strength Netherlands side..also won a penalty in the match

He can also play on the wing. A replacement for Valencia?
danevans94
I saw Kennedy interviewed. He was asked about moving to England and Kennedy's reply was "I have said for years that I want to go to England. But saying that you can't score 2 goals in a Bundesliga season and get relegated and then get a move to England. Maybe I will have to wait a few years to realise that dream". His head is at least in the right place.
