'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fallout from Bruce's prospective move

The People looks at the reason why Bruce wants to move.

They report that Bruce was unhappy when told by owner Dave Whelan that he had to cut 4 million off the wage bill.

The News of the World looks at who Bruce's successor will be.

Unsurprisngly Roberto Martinez is in the frame along with Steve Coppell. The article however, somewhat sensationally claims that the favourite is Paul Jewell.

The People also looks at who Bruce will sign, when he becomes Sunderland manager, which they expect to be this week.

Whilst the signing of Peter Crouch won't raise any heart beats in Wigan, the rumour of the sale of Lee Cattermole, who has been a tremendous buy for Wigan to Sunderland will send the Wigan fans racing for the de-fibrillators.

All in all a depressing set of articles which seem to indicates a cutting of costs at Wigan with the possibilty of quality players moving on.
