Adams doesn't want the Wigan job

Adams was being interviewed about his interest in the Celtic job. He said he was very interested as there was a 50% chance of winning things.

When asked about the vacant Wigan post, he said that he wasn't interested as there was a 30% chance Wigan would be relegated.

Adams has had two managerial posts in England at Wycombe and Portsmouth, both of which ended in dismissal.

His lack of interest, will surely bring a sigh of relief from the Wigan faithful.

30% chance of relegation. With Adams in charge it would be 100%

Phew. One fewer in the lists of disasters-waiting-to-happen. Next, let's have a signed statement from Souness disclaiming interest please.

One more point - just who does he think of those who are evidently 70% immune from relegation would touch him with a barge pole?

I think he was just unlucky at portsmouth... although to be honest, and showed real signs of improvement from his days at wycombe. However, I also think he could have done with managing a championship or league 1 club first - and think he should still work his way up from the bottom.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
