Bruce To Sign Kapo and DeRidder for Sunderland

Former Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce has targeted Latics players Olivier Kapo and Daniel DeRidder to spearhead his Wearside revolution as he plans to raid the Latics for the two former Birmingham players.

Bruce, who recently said in an interview with the Sun newspaper "…if you cut me open I'd be black and white to the core!', is determined to be true to his Geordie roots and get Sunderland relegated and bankrupt within his first season in charge.

Taking over £4 million per year in wages and a mighty budget to spend on dross Bruce sees Kapo and DeRidder as his first major signings to get the bandwagon rolling and is set to offer the Latics £15 million for the pair and said to the BBC today "Kapo and DeRidder are two lads I want here with me, that`s for sure"

"It didn`t work out for either at Wigan because they are crap and I want that to continue up here on Wearside"

Neither player was available for comment as both had gone missing, a trait that they perfected this last season at the JJB and something they also got another of Bruces signings, Amr Zaki, acquainted with.

Wigan Athletic appeared to be pleased with the prospect of the pair following Bruce out of the door and reports say Latics chairman Dave Whelan could be heard telling Bruce 'make sure you take them two bloody deadweight`s with you`

Bruce gone and forgotten.....who?

LOL, this article has made my day!

Haha very harsh! I'd rather he take Koumas and Kapo though, De Ridder at least has shown a bit of effort from time to time.

get a new manager in and quick. there's talk of Bruce taking most of his backroom staff with him as well as kapo and de Ridder... But it doesn't end there as Paul Scharner seems to be making overtures to Fulham in a bid to get some Europa football and boost his value. There's little loyalty about anyway, but if you haven't gott a manager there's nobody to rally round in transfer windows.

Would love Kapo and DeRidder to leave

Get Martinez in and Koumas will fulfil his potential. You heard it here first.
