Price tag on Martinez to deter Wigan

Price tag on Martinez to deter Wigan

Wigan have been so far refused to speak to Roberto Martinez, due to their unwillingness to meet with Swansea's valaution, which is higher than Sunderland have paid Wigan for Steve Bruce's services.

Martinez is due to meet his chairman Huw Jenkins today, to discuss his future and he is nderstood to be keen on talking to Dave Whelan. However with the current valuation of Roberto's services , Mr Whelan has indicated that he may look elsewhere with current unemployed managers seen as the most likely targets.

These candidates include, former manager Paul Jewell, a move that would be met with almost universal dismay from the Latics fans, Alan Curbishley and Steve Coppell all three have experience of managing in the Premier League.

look the reason that we have slapped a high price tag on roberto is because we dont want to lose him, and its your chairmans fault if he,s willing to let you manager who was succesful for you go for less, his name is huw jenkins by the way aswel not williams.
