The player is strongly rumoured to be former Swansea loan signing Jordi Gomez.
Espanyol's Gomez 24,is an attacking centre midfielder scoring 12 goals in 41 appearences.
He proved a success at Swansea but both Swansea and Middlesborough are reported to have been priced out of a permenant move by Espanyol's demands.
