Brenda Spencer Speaks of Frustration

Brenda Spencer Speaks of Frustration

Wigan Athletic Chief Executive Officer Brenda Spencer was left facing the cameras alone for the second time in 18 months as the Latics had called a press conference to officially present their new manager Roberto Martinez only for there to be a hitch and that Swansea had put a spanner in the works.

In similar style to the last unveiling of a new boss, Steve Bruce, there was empty chairs at the top table and a few red faces from the administration staff of the club, Brenda told of her frustration, she said: "At no time have Swansea asked for compensation for their backroom staff and all this is a little frustrating"

You said it Brenda, below is the press conference from the lady herself.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins says that the current dispute doesn`t effect Roberto joining the Latics and is a separate issue, he told reporters:

"I think the fact a couple of things were not sorted out is irrelevant to Roberto leaving our club"

"He has made his thoughts clear. He was in Wigan at the press conference to unveil him as their new manager.

"The issue is that we want fair compensation for two employees that we have invested a lot of time and money in.

"I spoke to Roberto on Thursday night and he understands that.

"It hasn`t changed my rapport with him. This was not about Roberto and Swansea, it is an issue we have with Wigan."

Well there you have it, sorted for nest week, hopefully
