Martinez Deal FINALLY Done!

Roberto Martinez was scheduled to be the new Latics chief last week but at a press conference, an official announcement couldn't be made because another issue came up. Compensation for Roberto's backroom staff.

It is now understood that some type of agreement has been reached though it doesn't seem that it was all done on the best of terms according to media reports. It is felt that Swansea wanted to move on and end the saga so I don't think we'll ever really fully learn the true extent of the deal.

Nevertheless, I do hope Tuesday is the day this saga does end and Roberto can be unveiled and we can sign some players - we've already lost valuable ground so lets not waste any more in the pursuit of transfer targets.

I for one am behind Roberto and hope he does a fantastic job - despite the premier league being a difficult league to manage in, Roberto has proved his managerial prowess with Swansea, so its hoped from all Latics fans he can emulate his Swansea success at the Latics.
