Latics Start at Villa and Finish at Chelsea

Latics Start at Villa and Finish at Chelsea

The Latics fixtures are out for the 2009/2010 season. You can view the full list on the official site: .................. link

Due to the nature of football and the rules and regulations they impose, we aren't able to mention fixtures or publish lists, despite the fact these fixtures are basically just adverts for the games we pay our hard earned money to go and see. Beyond belief? You bet!

Anyway, I'll see if this is seen as against the rules (despite a European Court of Justice ruling which should put pay to the charging for fixture lists but no one is in the financial position to challenge the leagues) to say that our opening game is against Aston Villa on 15th August

We face Premiership new boys Wolves in our first home game in August and finish the season by visiting Chelsea in May

Boxing day will see us home to Blackburn sandwiched between Bolton at home and Manchester United away so that`s a very local festive period sorted.

The last home game of the season will see Hull City visit the DW stadium

On the fixtures new Latics boss Roberto Martinez said: "It's a tough start, but we won't be phased by any game. We will be prepared and go into every match with a plan and a belief that we can take something from it.

'I am just so excited to get started again and when you see the fixtures it gives you a tremendous buzz of excitement.'
