Martinez seeks Spanish striker?

Thirty one year old Tamudo signed for his tome town club Espanyol in 1996 and apart from, two loan periods has been there ever since.

During the last season he has been replaced as the first choice striker and may be persuaded to seek a fresh challenge away from La Liga.

Tamudo has an impressive goalscoring record , netting 129 goals in 334 appearences and has scored fivw goals in thirteen appearences for the national team.

A fee of two million pounds is rumoured to be enough to secure Espanyol's agreement.
