Nani to Sweeten Valencia Deal?

According to the Sun, Manchester United have offered Wigan Athletic Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha, or as we know him Nani, to help push the deal through for Antonio Valencia.

With the Latics stating that they want somewhere between £14 - £18 million for Valencia and reports that United wont go above £12 million in cash it would seem true that there is a make weight in there especially with Latics owner Dave Whelan stating earlier this week that there are two acceptable bids on the table for Valencia.

If indeed Nani did come down the East Lancs Road as part of the deal his value must have plummeted through the floor considering Sir Alex Ferguson paid over £14 million to Sporting Lisbon for his services just 2 years ago.
