D-Day Looms For Tamudo and Crusat

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez will turn his attentions elsewhere if Spanish duo Raul Tamudo of Espanyol and Albert Crusat of Almeria cant be brought in to the Latics before Wednesday a deadline day set by Martinez himself last week.

Martinez has had offers for both players registered with their respective clubs for over two weeks now and in the case of Crusat the Latics made an increased offer following dialogue with his club Almeria.

The Latics are extremely light weight up front with only Colombia international Hugo Rodallega set to lead the line at the moment. Espanyol striker Tamudo is Martinez` main target in this area but with pre-season training starting on Tuesday he will switch his attentions elsewhere if a deal cant be tied up in the next two days.

Crusat is being looked at as a replacement for Antonio Valencia who left for Manchester United last week and again with pre-season set to start Martinez will switch his attentions to 'other` targets if a deal cant be agreed quickly.

Vital Latics will of course let you know as soon as there is any movement on the transfer front
