'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dave Whelan Says 'Zaki, No Way`

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has given the debate on whether former striker Amr Zaki will be coming back to the Latics a final and ultimate no.

Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post Whelan says that the Egypt international is undisciplined and difficult to handle, stating that he would be bad for the squad, Whelan says: 'I don't think there is any way he could come back. Zaki is difficult to control, and you can't have indiscipline like he showed here in your club. There is nothing in it at all.'

Whelan goes on to say that he was glad to see the back of Zaki and he never said 'goodbye` as the 26 year old striker 'just disappeared` at the end of his loan spell, Whelan concluded:'I didn't even shake hands with him at the end, he just disappeared.

'When you get players with indiscipline like him, you have just got to wipe your hands of them. It's all over with Zaki - full stop.'

Zaki has also come out in the media and slammed Latics transfer policy he say`s: 'Wigan is not one of the top four. All they want is to buy players for cheap and then make money by selling them to other clubs later.'

One player we wont be buying Mr Zaki is you

Definitely agreed there.

even though i am a fellow country man to amr zaki and extremely patriotic and a strong believer in zak's enormous abilites yet zaki doesn’t deserve to ever wear the wigan shirt again for wht he did is a disgrace and has not only affected him but the reputation of any other egyptian player hoping to play in europe.. Zaki is just following mido's foot steps as I once suspected and he deserve all wht he gets now ..thanx for all the wigan fans for the great love and support u gave to a truly ungrateful player called amr zaki and thank u david whelan for making the right choice!!
