Steve Bruce Turned Away From Harrods
Former Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce on leaving the Latics for Sunderland commented to the press that from now on he can shop at Harrods rather than Tesco, well it would appear that statement has already come back to haunt him.
Attempting to sign on time Latics target Morocco international Marouane Chamakh from French club Bordeaux Bruce has been astonished by the reasons for the clubs rebuff on the transfer.
Bordeaux President Jean-Louis Triaud says that he has never heard of Sunderland and that he wont sell to anyone but a big English club, speaking to the Sun Triaud says: 'What is he going to do in Sunderland?
'I don't want to insult them but I don't even know where they finished last season.
'Marouane said he will only sign for a big English club.'
No matter how you dress it up or throw money at it you have to earn the right to shop at Harrods Steve, at the moment you are in Aldi never mins Tesco`s, take one step at a time.
In the mean time Latics boss Roberto Martinez is negotiating with top French club Marseille over the sale of right sided midfield man Mathieu Valbuena to join his Wigan revolution
