Latics Make Striker Bid

Sky Sports News are reporting that Wigan Athletic have made an official bid for Swansea City striker Jason Scotland.

The Trinidad and Tobago international as been with the Swans since May 2007 when he joined from Scottish club St. Johnstone for £25,000 and he has scored 53 goals in 102 appearances for the Championship club.

Obviously Latics boss Roberto Martinez knows all about Scotland having managed him at the Liberty Stadium and it is believed that the 30 year old wants to follow his former manager to the DW Stadium

Latics v QPR - Big Game Preview

An important game at the DW Stadium tomorrow for the Latics, Gary Caldwell will be hoping to banish the disappointment of conceding a 93 minute goal away at Forest last Saturday that saw a point slip away after coming from behind three times in the game.

QPR are in town, they aren't quite the multi-millionaires that they were the last time that we met, that was in the play off semi-final in 2014, but they do have a squad with lots of quality and will certainly pose a threat.
