Jason Scotland Signs Up

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has made Swansea City and Trinidad and Tobago international striker Jason Scotland his third signing of the summer with a £2 million swoop for the 30 year old, beating competition for his signature from Burnley and Hull City.

Scotland joins the Latics in a rich vein of goalscoring form, he has 53 goals in 105 appearances for Swansea spread over two seasons and before signing for the Swans in the summer of 2007 he had 33 goals in 66 appearances for Scottish club St. Johnstone.

Although untried at Premier League level there is no doubting Scotland`s ability to put the ball in the net, something that has been missing from the Latics forwards previously, with his work rate and determination coupled with his goal scoring abilities there is no reason why Jason Scotland should not become an excellent addition to the Latics squad

Welcome to the Latics, Jason

Well good luck JS, hope you continue to score in the Prem. Although RM should leave Swansea alone or we won't have a team left to play. So much for not stealing our players eh? Hmmmm
