Wigan challenge Wolves for Mc Carthy

18 year old McCarthy is a midfielder( where else?) and a Scots born Republic of Ireland international Under 21 international.

However the deal is by no means certain to occur, with Premier League new boys Wolves also having agreed a fee.

McCarthy has made just short of a hundred appearences for Hamilton, scoring 13 goals and is seen as a rising star of Irish football.

Taylor, im assuming you are a Swansea fan, since VitalWigan has had no end of them recently. Martinez was a good manager at Swansea, but he got an offer he could not refuse. When he said those things about having to be forced out as a manager, he couldnt have possibly known that an opportunity would come up to manage the now-premiership team which brought him over to England in the first place.
