Martinez Speak's On Cattermole and McCarthy

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez spoke to Sky Sports at Manchester Airport as the squad jetted off to Austria and the pre-season training camp that will include two games against German club Hannover 96 and Romanian side FCU Timişoara

Speaking to the camera`s Martinez reiterated the club`s stance on Lee Cattermole saying that he is definitely not for sale and also confirmed his interest in Hamilton player James McCarthy who is currently considering an offer to join the Latics.

Martinez said on Cattermole: 'I think the interest is something that Lee should be very proud of.

'But Lee is now focused on the new season with Wigan Athletic.

'You can always have interest but Lee Cattermole is not for sale, there is not even a price on his head.

'We are in a great position that means we don't have to sell anyone to balance the books.'

On McCarthy, Martinez continued: 'There is no news on James McCarthy. Until something is done and is concrete, we are not going to announce or speak about players.

'We have been following a lot of players and obviously James is one of them.
