The New Wigan Athletic Squad Numbers

Wigan Athletic have announced this season`s squad numbers with new boy`s Jason Scotland, Hendry Thomas, Jordi Gomez and James McCarthy all being allocated shirt numbers for the first time at the Latics

Jason Scotland will wear the famous number 9 shirt which has been worn down the years by Latics favourites Emile Heskey, Nathan Ellington and Graeme Jones, Hendry Thomas takes over Antoine Sibierski`s number 6, so here`s hoping he has more luck on the injury front than the talented yet sickly Frenchman.

Jordi Gomez picks up the number 15 whilst young James McCarthy who joined last week from Hamilton will wear the number 24
