Wigan Athletic Linked With Move For Mark Gonzalez
Wigan Athletic are being linked with a move for former Liverpool winger Mark Gonzalez who is playing for Real Betis in Spain according to reports in the Spanish press.
The South Africa born Chile international is, according to ABC.es, a player that Latics boss Roberto Martinez sees as a direct replacement for Antonio Valencia, they quote Martinez as saying: "Mark is a soccer player who enchants to me, and is, therefore, a possibility"
Gonzalez joined Betis from Liverpool in 2007 and he has made 44 appearances scoring 10 goals in La Liga, following the relegation of Betis in June, Greek side Olympiacos have tabled a 5 million euro bid for the 25 year old, so Latics will need to at least match this figure.
