Stripey Set For Debut On Saturday
Wigan Athletics new mascot, Stripey the Cat is all set to make his debut in the Latics Vs St. Mirren friendly at the DW stadium this Saturday and the latest incarnation will be purring for the Lads this coming season.
Stripey replaces JJ and B who have retired, eloped or just done a runner, they in turn replaced Springy who looked a lot like JJ but was left behind at Springfield Park when the big move occurred.
Stripey won a poll to be chosen as the new Latics mascot, his opposition was a squirrel?
Personal I would have liked to have seen Uncle Joe and his mint balls, a top hated geezer handing out free sweets at every home game, sadly not to be.
