'If It's Football, It's Vital'
Competition Winner Receives His Prize
Vital Wigan recently ran a competition to win a copy of The Book of Football Quotations by Phil Shaw and to make a quote, you had to be in it to win it, well Carl Barton aka capt_carl was and he did.
Carl from Highfield, pictured below, correctly identified that Paul Jewell had famously said, following a Latics defeat, 'upfront we were like world beaters but at the back more like panel beaters` and capt_carl can be seen here receiving his prize, which was hand delivered by me, another treat ;)
Carl said he was delighted to have won and he also revealed he is a lifelong Latics fan and has been hooked since his dad took him to Springfield Park for his first game when he was just a nipper.
So congratulations to Carl and the next competition will be along shortly, the prize…well it is definitely worth winning, that`s all I`m saying at the moment
