Latics Linked With Move For David Bentley

Latics Linked With Move For David Bentley

Wigan Athletic could be about to sign Tottenham Hotspur and England midfield man David Bentley if rumours circulating around the football world are to be believed.

It has been suggested that Latics boss Roberto Martinez has made an £8 million bid for the former Blackburn Rovers star who has endured a nightmare since his move back to London with him finding himself more on the bench than in the Spurs starting eleven

It`s no secret that Latics have money to spend following the sale of Antonio Valencia to Manchester United for £16 million and again it is no secret that the club are seeking a right sided midfield player to take Valencia`s place in the side.

David Bentley, he had his best ever form in the North West with Blackburn and he just might fancy a return to rediscover the play that made him an England international.
