Wigan Athletic - Two More Wing Their Way In

Wigan Athletic will complete the signings of Rayo Vallecano players Mohamed Diame and Antonio Amaya subject to medicals that will take place in the morning at Christopher Park.

The Spanish second division club have announced on their official website that the transfer is now concluded subject to the medicals and that means Roberto Martinez has now brought in 9 new faces to the club on the playing front since taking over the managers post.

Diame is the more noted of the two new players and he has been subject to interest from a host of Europe`s top clubs including Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid with Celtic having a January bid turned down by Rayo.

It is reported that the Latics have paid £3.5 million for the pair and this could turn out to be a fantastic piece of business by Martinez if Diame lives up to his potential.

Good news, we've all got hopes for Diame and its good to get another defender in even if it's someone we've never heard of before.

If anything Amaya's got the sheer physical power, he's 6'4 and 200+lbs! He's not Hangeland but that's pretty big.
