'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hopes and Fears, Fans Thoughts #2

The second edition of the fans `Hopes and Fears` sees Wigan Athletic supporter Jordan Griffin, better known on Vital Latics as wigan-latics giving his thoughts on the coming season now that summer is drawing to a close, over to you wigan-latics:

It`s the Time that everybody has been waiting for. Personally it has come too fast for me and I think we could have done with a few more practise games, but hopefully Martinez has got the team ready for a new heart stopping season which will be full of surprises.

Hopes
My main hopes are that we finish in the top half of the table, play some good football along the way with a surprise cup run dependant on whoever gets to the final hopefully even some silverware would be very nice. I don`t think we are ready for a UEFA cup so I think we should get used to the team and next year add a few more players and then go for it. Thomas to be a new Palacios and the DW Stadium Full!!

Fears
My biggest fear is our defending and that bramble will get to his old ways without Bruce which we saw a glimpse of against St Mirren. So I think we are going to need a centre back before the season starts. And our attacking game plan might not go so well and get tackled all the time and loss of possession.

Predictions

My predictions are..
The stadium won`t be full
9th Place Finish
Carling Cup semi final
FA cup 5th round
Thomas will be good but not similar to Palacios
Scotland to be flop of the season

Thanks for reading and thanks to fazman for his guide and a good read
