Diame Hold Up is Due To Medical Scare

Wigan Athletic have held up the deal to signing highly rated Mohamed Diame from Spanish club Rayo Vallecano due to a heart scare in his medical reports the Daily Mirror.

Diame had to quit football for a while whilst at Lens in the French first division and he then picked up his career at Spanish lower league side Linares before moving on to Rayo Vallecano, there is no reported connection between his previous illness and current medical worries.

The Latics are hopeful that the scare is just that a scare and Diame can get the green light to sign on at the DW Stadium, especially with Lee Cattermole leaving.
