Wigan Athletic came unstuck slightly last night against a battling Wolves side that were clearly up for it. The defeat was deflating following on from the high expectations set by the win at Villa Park but was it all that bad?

Latics had the lions share of possession, 18 goal attempts and a stone wall penalty appeal turned down by referee Mike Jones, but most of that came in the second half and it appeared that we had been caught cold by the vibrant Wolves and that early goal certainly knocked the stuffing out of Roberto`s men.

There were some good performances and Hendry Thomas once again was solid whilst I felt Jason Koumas looked lively along with Charles N`Zogbia who overcame his pre-match injury scare to put in a good shift.

Jordi Gomez was named the sponsors man of the match at the game but though he did well I felt that Hendry Thomas just shaded it with a dogged display in midfield, but who do you feel deserved the title man of the match?
