Wigan Athletic - Mohamed Diame
Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of midfield player Mohamed Diame from Spanish second division club Rayo Vallecano according to his former clubs official website.
Rayo Vallecano announced 'Today, Thursday August 20th 2009 Mohamed Diame has completed his move from Rayo to Wigan Athletic, the final details have been resolved and Wigan have asked the Spanish FA for clearance to have Diame available for their meeting with Manchester United on Saturday`
The deal had been held up due to a health scare at last weeks medical but reports suggest that all is now well and Diame has even got international clearance to enable him to make his debut tomorrow against Manchester United though that is unlikely.
The highly rated midfield man will be Martinez` 9th signing this summer
