Moses £4 Million and Back to Palace For the Year?

Moses £4 Million and Back to Palace For the Year?

The Sun are reporting that Wigan Athletic have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace for 18 year old striker Victor Moses that will see the Latics pay £4 million and allow Palace to keep Moses at Selhurst Park for the rest of this season.

I know other clubs conduct business this way but it will be something new for the Latics and it is a lot of cash to be paying out not to have the player available for the season

Moses is a hot talent with bags of potential and it would be a good deal for Palace, they get some much needed cash and also keep the player so there is no need at the moment to spend on a replacement

For the Latics though it represents a big gamble spending so much of this seasons transfer budget on a player that wont be in the squad, Spurs have made a similar deal this summer signing Sheffield United defender Kyle Walker and then loaning him back for the season but Spurs do have a bigger transfer budget than us and can to some extent afford what is a luxury, buying a player then storing them away for a year.

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock though has poured cold water on the story saying that there is no truth in it, Warnock said: "There`s no truth in it whatsoever.

"Wigan would never loan him back here - they will need every player they`ve got."

So either we have signed him permanently and for keeps or there is no deal
