Wigan Have Argentine Costly Competition

Wigan Athletic face competition for the signature of Belchatów striker Carlo Costly from Argentine club Racing according to reports coming from Honduras.

The reports say that Racing have actually offered more to both Costly and to his club but the Honduran is set on a move to the Latics to team up with fellow catrachos Hendry Thomas, Maynor Figueroa and Oscar Garcia who is due in this week.

One of the negotiators in the transfer confirms that Costly wants to move to Wigan, Charles Pizzi says: 'Carlo is eager, Wigan have made an offer to Belchatów for the player's services. Costly wants to go to England and the final decision to take him'

'His club Belchatów already has two offers on the table, the Racing is better economically speaking, but the heart of Costly is in Wigan, but his arrival at the club depends on the deal being accepted, the people of his club in Poland are considering it.'

'The two options are important, the Argentine football is a great showcase, but depends where Carlo decides where to play.'
