Hendry Thomas MotM Against United

Wigan Athletic midfield man Hendry Thomas was voted the Vital Latics man of the match in Saturdays defeat to Manchester United

It was definitely a game of two halves and in the first we looked quite good, debutant Momo Diame settled very quickly alongside Hendry Thomas in Latics centre midfield and the pair look like they will form a formidable combination in the engine room.

Thomas though was good throughout the game even in the second half when United started to over run the Latics Thomas stood out as our top performer and with 36% of the votes he has now picked up his 2nd Man of the Match award in three games

The new poll is available on the bottom right of this page and it is asking who you think will win tomorrow`s Carling Cup 2nd round tie at Blackpool, to vote simply select your choice then hit the submit button, its that easy.

There is an article looking back on a couple of previous encounters with Blackpool entitled `Fish 'n Chips and Kiss Me Quick` and can be found here
