Costly Flies In To Wigan Athletic

Costly Flies In To Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic are expected to announce the signing of Honduras international forward Carlo Costly from Polish club Belchatów after the player and his agent, Guglielmo Defies arrived in the UK yesterday to tie up the transfer.

A fee of around £1 million has been agreed between the Latics and Belchatów for the 6` 2", 27 year old forward and now that a small hold up due to sponsorship obligations in Poland has been sorted out the deal for the switch can be completed.

Defies confirmed to the Honduras media that Costly has agreed personal terms on a three year deal and that all that remains is the signing of the contract.

I think that Costly could be a good signing for us.... he might not have flourished at Brum but we'll just have to see what happens.
