Wigan Athletic Best Summer Signing - Hendry Thomas

The recent poll on Vital Latics asked the question who the fans looked on as the best Wigan Athletic signing this summer and the outright winner is Honduras international and midfield lynch pin Hendry Thomas with a whopping 51% of the votes cast.

It has taken the Latics a full year to secure the signature of Thomas following issues with a work permit but the wait has been well worth it with the combative midfield man making the centre perch of the Latics team his own with some fabulous displays so far this season.

Without doubt Thomas looks capable of filling the void left by Lee Cattermole`s departure and he is a player that Roberto Martinez can build his team around.

For the record the complete votes were:

Hendry Thomas - 51%
Scott Sinclair - 17%
Jordi Gomez - 16%
Momo Diame - 5%
Jason Scotland - 5%
James McCarthy - 3%
Antonio Amaya - 3%

The new poll is available for you to vote in and is situated at the bottom right of this page, it is asking who will win tomorrow`s Premier League clash between the Latics and West Ham, to vote simply select your option and then hit the submit button, it`s that easy.

This fellow will go on to be immense for us
worbo
Wonder how much you'll sell him for in a years time if he turns out as good as you expect....
EvertonMike
We will and thats the problem and why we arent progressing
worbo
I've got to say from the outside looking in it looks ridiculous, the players you've sold over the last 6 months it could be argued were your 3 best players.
EvertonMike
No arguing about it Mike, Cattermole, Palacios and Valencia big players for us and add to that Heskey and Zaki from the first half of last season and you see wjy some people are moaning, but I am THE eternal optimist and in Thomas and N'Zogbia we have two class players just hope the 'new' team clicks
worbo
I forgot you lost Heskey too, christ. It would be like us selling Yakubu, Cahill, Arteta and Pienaar in a 6 months period. I think Bill Kenwright would actually be killed if he tried that!
EvertonMike
What about Scotty Sinclair?
JT_daniel
Sinclair is good, just needs to lift his head when charging down the line then he'll be very good
worbo
Sinclair is the lad who had the ball against us when you had about a 6 on 2 right? He could have set up any of your lads up, but instead ran himself to a tight angle before shooting. Not sure what the hype is about with him to be honest.
EvertonMike
Yep that was him Mike....should have squared it
