King Interesting Sheffield United

According to the Daily Mirror Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King could be set for another loan spell dropping down a division to Championship club Sheffield United.

Newcastle had made enquiries to take King on loan but couldn`t reach a deal with the Latics, now it looks like the Blades will step in where the Geordies left off and get the striker to Bramall Lane for the rest of the season.

Following their Wembley play-off heartbreak against Burnley Kevin Blackwell is determined to avoid the end of season knock-out tournament this time round and he wants to secure automatic promotion and sees King has the man to fire in the goals.

King himself is desperate to get some games in, he clearly doesn`t figure in Latics boss Roberto Martinez` plans, his only game this season was the shambles in the Carling Cup defeat at Blackpool so possibly any move would appeal to the Jamaica international.
