Lawro Predicts - Arsenal Vs Latics

Wigan Athletic take on Arsenal at The Emirates Stadium tomorrow, BBC pundit and ex-Liverpool defender Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his usual weekly forecast for the beeb and he predicts a home victory for the Arsenal, let`s see what his reasons are:

Arsenal v Wigan

Arsenal will be buoyed by their success in Europe midweek - they were missing about nine players for that match but they still won. Despite losing at Manchester City last week, they were in control for large parts of the game.

Wigan are still very up and down. They had a much-needed home win last week but Arsenal will have too much for them.

Verdict: 2-0

I have to disagree with you here Lawro, I watched the Arsenal game midweek and they were anything but impressive, especially in defence, I can see the Latics gaining a creditable 1-1 draw, Thomas and Diame are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the midfield and the Martinez revolution will continue to grow

I can see a good entertaining game ending 1-1

I think a draw isn't a bad shout, our midfield will monster Arsenal's, especially with Thomas and Diame on form. Cut out Fabregas and we'll stop Arsenal's attacking threat, especially without Arshavin.
