Arsenal V Wigan: Arsenal Gunning For Latics

What a timely win that was for Wigan (and needed) against West Ham United. If I am being blatantly honest, I think we were a little lucky in some respects to win, but a win is a win regardless and it was a very comprehensive performance by Roberto Martinez's troops.

However, the upbeat spirit might indded be dampened by a visit to the Emirates because Arsenal will want to put their recent troubles behind them and kick start their campaign and make an outside attempt to try and gather momentum in the race for the title, but for me, its going to be the year for the Blues to reclaim the prize they've so desperately fought for for three years whilst its remained in the hands of Manchester United.

Arsenal have some injury problems ahead of this game but I think that whatever squad they put out, they'll be too strong for the Latics and it'll be a bad day for the Wigan team and faithful, but I don't believe it will be a hammering. Arsenal need to get their season back on track and I think they will get maximum points at the Emirates Stadium as its a fortress not easily breached.

A home game against Chelsea follows but after that, all being well, we should be able to get our season flowing again. You never know, we may get something from the two games but its a tall order.

Good Luck Latics!!

ROB'S PREDICTION
=================

Arsenal will be hurting after their defeat to Man City under controversial circumstances to say the least and this is going to be a game in which Arsenal will target three points and I've little doubt this will be the case.

Arsenal 2 Wigan 0

ROB'S FINAL THOUGHT
====================

The two games won't determine Wigan's season and whilst it may be topsy and turvy for a while coming, hopefully order will be restored and we can push up the table but the win against West Ham should not be underestimated and its nice to see that result as it means Roberto is not under as much pressure as he was before but did the master of football, Alex Ferguson, inspire Roberto or did he give him tips on how to handle Arsenal? It could be an interesting weekend.

See you all next time for Rob's Prediction when I shall be reviewing the home game against Chelsea.

It all depends on Bendtner. If he plays we have a chance.

1-1 without a doubt we will NOT lose this game...Arsenal are struggling for numbers, either through injury, form or fitness, 1-1 with Hugo putting us ahead

I think Arsenal will still win as our record against them is dire. One 0-0 draw is hardly cause for encouragement, but I'll keep the faith that maybe, just maybe, we might be able to frustrate the Gunners, but we're not riding on this game to determine our season, nor the Chelsea game. They're just two games we can enjoy, hopefully get something from and move on as we prepare to give Hull a repeat performance of last season.

Sheffield United v Latics - Big Game Preview

Latics head over the Pennines this afternoon to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

It is only three weeks since the sides last met, on that occasion we allowed the Blades to come back from three goals down to claim a share of the spoils, hopefully lessons learned that day will help us to see this game out.

Under Nigel Adkins Sheff United haven't had the season that they were hoping for, hovering outside the playoff spots for most of the campaign so far they will be hoping to ma
