Idiot Fans Go Into Overdrive
Wigan Athletic seem to have more than their fair share of idiot fans at the moment, I wont use the word supporter because being a supporter means getting behind the team, giving encouragement, someone who backs the team, someone who stands by the team in difficult times and offers support, what we seem to have is a bucket load of hysterical idiots driven by some crazy idea that in their world Wigan Athletic should be top of the Premier League.
Six games into the season and six points in the bag, we have played Manchester United (lost every previous meeting) and Arsenal away (lost every previous away game at Arsenal) and suddenly we are relegation certainties and have a clown for a manager?
I believe we have clowns for fans, we sit 13th in the league in the next few weeks we play:
Hull, Burnley, Portsmouth, Fulham, Sunderland, Birmingham, Bolton and Blackburn, all very much winnable games and all before Christmas, perhaps after this little lot we should have a look how our season is going before getting ready to jump off the top of the stands in the middle of September.
Internet message boards, forums and terrace talk is criticising manager Roberto Martinez, ridiculing his team and going completely over the top in calling for a change of management
I would say get a grip, you call yourselves supporters so start acting like one and stop the knee jerk, frankly embarrassing reaction that is making us a little bit of a laughing stock.
Talking to mates from other areas and supporters of other clubs they cant believe the reaction that is going on at the moment, there were cries of all this doom during the close season and it`s got worse, in all honesty what was expected? A top four slot?
We are sitting mid-table and have a decent run of games in front of us, for goodness sake get a grip.

A loss to Chelsea next week and people will be comiting suicide, haha. But then we have Man city which i think is winnable considering we have a good record against them. Lets face it after 9 games how many points did people actually expect? I thought 4 points would be a decent return considering we will have played 5 of last years top 6 and Man City and in reality we should expect no points from these games. there are many more teams worse than us at the moment such as Hull, Pompey, Bolton, Wolves, Birmingham, West Ham and considering Hull and Pompey are virtually down, how many people think that all 3 promoted teams will stay up this year.
We have to give Bobby a chance and i believe after the City game we will have a good run that will see us comfortable midtable at christmas time. The standard of all teams, other than the top 8 seems to be very much of a muchness this year. And i think it will be an exciting/nervous relegation battle this year.

Theres a while yet to go for Wigan, and what would be worrying is the lack of ability to change the team if something doesn't turn good. However theres not much to say that the system that is present will not work out sometime before Christmas so just like every other team in the league, Wigan fans will have to wait and support!
