Boyce Looks To Chelsea

Wigan Athletic defender Emerson Boyce says that the Latics need to get back on track as soon as possible following the defeat against Arsenal and that means starting with the home game against Chelsea this Saturday

Boycie says that they will face a different type of threat this weekend but hopefully being at home will help the Latics get something from the game, speaking to the clubs official website he said: 'Chelsea have a different way of playing than Arsenal, and with us being at home it will hopefully give us a bit more of an advantage.'

The 29 year old defender says the change at the club both in playing style and personnel has had an effect and that it is taking time for the team to settle together, but he stressed that it is important to get the points on board now to avoid a mad panic at the end of the season, he continued: 'The manager has introduced a new way of playing, and there have also been a lot of new players who have come into the squad.

'It will take time, as with anything, but the results speak for themselves, and we need to crack on and get as many points on the board as we can, because we don't want to be playing catch-up too early in the season.

'We're disappointed but we have to bounce back against Chelsea.'

Lets hope that we can show some passion this weekend, at the moment there appears to be a lack of energy in some of our play, keep trying to play the right way but put some fire in there and we will be fine
